Kate Moss – Topshop ss10

Shot by Nick Knight…
I have been thinking a lot about the direction that I want to go with this project. If I am honest it has been driving me insane. Due to this I compiled a list of everything that interests me and went from there. As I have to produce 15-18 images for this brief I think the best thing to do for me would be to split it into two separate briefs. This also benefits me because I am interested in fashion but I am also very interested in travelling and plan on going travelling as soon as I finish university. So I obviously need both a travelling portfolio and a fashion portfolio.

Due to this I have decided to continue with the black and white male portraits in the studio as one brief mainly focusing on identity and I am also going to continue with the idea of the sea nymphs. I plan to produce both of these ideas in the studio. Hopefully this will help my dilemma as to where I am going with this project.

I have chosen to include this video because I absolutely love the lighting. It reminds me of a hot summers day where the sun is blinding and therefore I make links to the beach. I think that this lighting could be perfect for my ideas relating to the sea nymphs so obviously my next step is to test out this lighting in the studio with a model.
